Lamar takes over as interim executive director of Family Promise
“After nine years as executive director of Family Promise of Blount County, Kathi Parkins has resigned,” the written statement from the board reads. “Under Kathi’s leadership, the organization has grown and served hundreds of families.”
Board Chair Kevin Ross expressed appreciation for all that Parkins has done.
“She has lived out the mission each and every day,” he said in the statement.
The regional director of Family Promise, Jenna Beck, commented, “Her leadership has been extraordinary, and her dedication has transformed the lives of countless children and families since she started with Family Promise in 2010.” Beck went on to say that Parkins has positioned Family Promise for continued success.
The board of directors includes Ross, Phil Hoffman, Staci Lawhorn, Lauren Emert, Rick Hudolin, Magan Stubblefield, Stephen Wigley *and Karen Hobby.
