At our board of directors meeting this week we reviewed the survey responses from our host and support congregations about resuming the church rotation here at Family Promise of Blount County. Those responses, combined with the current level of Covid-19 cases in our community have led us to place the church rotation on hold for the remainder of 2021. The health and safety of our families, staff, and volunteers remains a top priority as we continue to navigate the pandemic. As we move closer to the new year, we will re-evaluate the readiness of our host congregations to resume the rotation in early 2022. With the ever-changing nature of the situation, we are not projecting a starting date for rotation at this time.We will, however, continue serving families in a static site model for our Shelter program. We are currently serving 23 parents and children in Shelter and Transitional Housing. In addition, we are also offering prevention and diversion services which help families remain safely housed.
